The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is situated within a purposebuilt, fully integrated business precinct and has been designed to accommodate world congresses, exhibitions, regional meetings gala events, performances and concerts.
Architecturally advanced in design and capability, this world-class venue is amongst the first built to meet the rigorous LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The functional and flexible design of this building ensures a huge array of 55 meeting and exhibition spaces,with the very latest in communications and audio-visual technology.These are features expected and demanded for hosting prestigious business events.
Working to a technical specification by consultants Idibri, LSI Projects supplied and installed the lighting and sound infrastructure in the 3,200 seat Madinat Al Irfan Theatre (which is the largest ‘Lyric’ style theatre in the Middle East), as well as the smaller 456 seat Medium Auditorium. The equipment included ETC Sensor Dimmers and EOS Titanium Control desks, along with a lighting data network, motorised hoist bars, cable reelers, and numerous facility panels around the venues.
LSI Projects have also supplied a large set of packaged equipment for use by the conference centre staff across all the venues. This included automated lighting, control desks, LED profiles and Fresnels, cabling, follow spots, outdoor floodlights, effects machines, electric chain hoists, speaker systems, LCD displays, projectors, and video processors.
